After registering an emphatic victory in Hobart, the Indian men’s cricket team will aim to continue the winning momentum against hosts Australia in the fourth T20I of the ongoing five-match series at the Carrara Oval in Gold Coast, Queensland on Thursday. The match will start at 1:45 PM IST (6:15 PM Local Time).
Under the leadership of captain Suryakumar Yadav, the Men in Blue bounced back in style to register an impressive five-wicket win at the Bellerive Oval to level the T20I series 1-1.
Opting to bowl first, India rode on left-arm pacer Arshdeep Singh’s 3/35 to restrict Australia to 186/6 in their 20 overs.
In-form leg-spinner Varun Chakaravarthy contributed with two scalps, while all-rounder Shivam Dube picked up the other wicket.

Apart from Washington, Tilak Varma (29), Abhishek Sharma (25), skipper Suryakumar Yadav (24) and wicketkeeper-batter Jitesh Sharma (22 not out) contributed with vital runs in India's series-levelling win.
Meanwhile, left-arm wrist-spinner Kuldeep Yadav has been released from India’s T20I squad in order to get him in rhythm for the upcoming Test series against South Africa, commencing on November 14.
On the other hand, Australia will miss the services of their opening batter Travis Head, who has been released from the squad for the remaining two T20Is to feature in the Sheffield Shield as part of their preparations for the Ashes series.
With the series tied 1-1, Suryakumar and his men will now head into the fourth T20I brimming with confidence as they aim to secure series lead in Gold Coast.

Washington Sundar: Gujarat Titans all-rounder Washington Sundar emerged as India’s hero in their series-levelling victory in Hobart. Batting at No.6, Washington slammed three fours and four maximums to guide the Men in Blue over the line. Apart from his batting credentials, Washington can also contribute with his right-arm off-spin and will be a player to watch out for in the fourth T20I at the Carrara Oval.
Arshdeep Singh: Talented left-arm fast bowler Arshdeep Singh played a pivotal role in India’s brilliant win in Hobart on Sunday. The 26-year-old bagged the massive wickets of Travis Head, wicketkeeper-batter Josh Inglis and Marcus Stoinis to help India restrict Australia below 200. He will look to continue his good form and pick up early wickets in Gold Coast on Thursday.
