After accomplishing our first goal of IPL 2025 playoffs qualification, we are pumped and ready to take on Mumbai Indians (MI) in the high-stakes Eliminator at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium in Mullanpur on Friday.

The GT vs MI IPL 2025 Eliminator will start at 7:30 PM IST.

With nine victories in 14 games, we marched into our third IPL playoffs in four seasons and have emerged as one of the title contenders for the IPL 2025 title.

Under the leadership of Shubman Gill, our Titans delivered numerous exceptional performances to wrap up the IPL 2025 league stage with 18 points.

Our boys will be confident heading into the IPL 2025 Eliminator as we defeated MI in both meetings this season.

During our first clash against MI in IPL 2025, we secured a comprehensive 36-run victory at our fortress, the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

Put in to bat, Sai Sudharsan scored 63 off 41 balls, along with contributions from captain Shubman Gill (38) and Jos Buttler (39) to propel us to 196/8 in our 20 overs.

Later, Prasidh Krishna and Mohammed Siraj picked up two wickets each to help us restrict MI to 160/6 in their allotted overs.

We later completed a season double over MI in a rain-affected game at the Wankhede Stadium earlier this month.

Opting to field first, our Titans produced an outstanding bowling performance as MI could only manage 155/8 in their 20 overs.

Sai Kishore was our wrecker-in-chief with two wickets, while Arshad Khan, Rashid Khan, Gerald Coetzee, Siraj and Prasidh chipped in with one scalp each.

In reply, we were comfortably placed at 107/2, before rain interrupted play twice, and our revised target was 147 in a 19-over game.

With 15 runs needed in the final over, Rahul Tewatia, Gerald Coetzee and Arshad Khan guided us to our fourth consecutive win over MI.

A win against MI on Friday will help us seal a Qualifier 2 spot and face Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) after they beat Punjab Kings (PBKS) by eight wickets in Qualifier 1.

Meanwhile, Orange Cap holder Sai Su (679 runs) and skipper Gill (649 runs) will aim to continue their magnificent form to provide us with another brilliant start.

In the bowling department, Prasidh (23 wickets), Sai Kishore (17 wickets) and Siraj (15 wickets) will look for early breakthroughs in the Eliminator.

However, we will be without Buttler and Kagiso Rabada as they have departed for international duties.

Sri Lankan wicketkeeper-batter Kusal Mendis has joined our camp as a replacement.
