Defending champions India will look to extend their winning run when they lock horns with Netherlands in their final Group A match of the T20 Cup 2026 at the Gujarat Titans’ fortress, the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Wednesday, February 18. The Group A match will start at 7:00 PM IST.

Led by captain Suryakumar Yadav, co-hosts India have already sealed their spot in the Super Eight stage of the ongoing T20 Cup after registering comprehensive victories in all three matches so far.

The Men in Blue stormed into the Super Eight stage after defeating arch-rivals Pakistan by 61 runs at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo on Sunday.

Put into bat, opener Ishan Kishan continued his swashbuckling form by smashing 77 off 40, along with vital contributions from skipper Suryakumar Yadav (32), Shivam Dube (27) and Tilak Varma (25) to power India to 175/7 in their 20 overs on a slow Colombo track.

Later, India delivered an impressive all-round bowling performance to bowl out Pakistan for 114 in 18 overs.

For India, Hardik Pandya, Jasprit Bumrah, Axar Patel, Varun Chakaravarthy picked up two wickets each, while Kuldeep Yadav and Tilak Varma chipped in with one scalp apiece.

Earlier, India started their T20 World Cup 2026 campaign by beating the United States of America (USA) by 29 runs and later followed it by securing a dominant 93-run victory over Namibia.

With six points from three games, India are currently placed at the top of the Group A points table and will aim to finish as table-toppers on Wednesday heading into the Super Eight stage.

On the other hand, the Scott Edwards-led Netherlands have displayed inconsistent performances throughout the tournament. The Flying Dutchmen currently sit in fourth place with one win in three games.

Players to watch out for

Ishan Kishan: India’s flamboyant opening batter Ishan Kishan has been in sensational form in the ongoing T20 Cup 2026. With 158 runs in three matches, the 27-year-old is currently India’s highest run-scorer in the tournament. Having scored these runs at an outstanding strike rate of 197.50, while also maintaining an impressive average of 52.66, Ishan will look to continue his brilliant form against Netherlands at the Narendra Modi Stadium.

Varun Chakravarthy: Varun Chakravarthy was on song with the ball in hand during the previous match against Pakistan with two crucial wickets. His ability to bowl unplayable deliveries could be handy in putting pressure on the Dutch batters. With six wickets in three matches, Varun is India’s joint top-wicket taker in the tournament and will be aiming to add to his tally on Wednesday.
