A dynamic left-handed batter, Rahul Tewatia has been a clutch performer for the Gujarat Titans since 2022, thriving in high-pressure situations and finishing games in style. He began his domestic career with Haryana in 2013 and rose to national prominence during IPL 2020 with Rajasthan Royals, when he smashed five consecutive sixes off Sheldon Cottrell, scripting one of the league’s most memorable turnarounds.
Tewatia continued building his reputation for last-over heroics after joining the Gujarat Titans in 2022. In his debut season with the franchise, he produced another iconic moment by hitting two sixes off the final two balls to chase down 12 runs against Punjab Kings, sealing a dramatic victory for the Titans.
Known for keeping his cool when the pressure peaks, Tewatia has remained a dependable finisher in the Titans lineup. In IPL 2024, he scored 188 runs at a strike rate of 145.73, once again showcasing his ability to accelerate when it matters most.
Nicknamed “The Iceman” for his calmness in crunch moments, Tewatia is also known for his witty personality and wearing his heart on his sleeve. A family-oriented individual, he brings both passion and personality to the Titans dressing room as he gears up for IPL 2026.
