Fresh from their T20I series triumph against New Zealand, Team India will shift focus to the five-match ODI series, starting at Eden Park, Auckland, on Wednesday, November 4. The opening match begins at 7:30 AM IST.

Led by our very own Shubman Gill, India will look to carry their winning momentum from the 2-1 ODI series victory against the West Indies in September into this away assignment.

Our skipper has been in terrific form. Along with breaking several records in the format, Gill has scored 3,713 runs in 70 ODIs, including 11 centuries and 20 half-centuries. He will once again be central to India's batting plans.

Shubman’s net sessions in Auckland have already drawn sizeable crowds, with fans gathering to catch a glimpse of the Indian skipper in action.

Three more players from our Gujarat Titans contingent feature in the squad: Mohammed Siraj, Gurnoor Brar and Kumar Kushagra. Siraj has claimed 77 wickets in 51 ODIs at an economy of 5.15, while Brar has picked up 14 wickets in just nine international appearances. Both will look to strengthen India's bowling attack.

Kushagra, who earned his place through impressive domestic performances, will be eyeing an opportunity to make his ODI debut and contribute with the bat.

New Zealand will be keen to bounce back after the T20I series defeat. The Black Caps, led by Mitchell Santner, head into the contest after a 3-2 ODI series win against the West Indies in July and will look to make the most of home conditions.

The last ODI series between the two sides ended 2-1 in New Zealand's favour in January 2026. India will now aim to turn the tables, with Gill and our Gujarat Titans stars looking to make a strong impact.
