A blockbuster clash awaits in this Super Sunday double-header as our Titans gear up to take on Chennai Super Kings at the M. A. Chidambaram Stadium in Chepauk, on Sunday, April 26 at 3:30 PM IST.
In our recent outing, our openers Sai Su and Shubman Gill showed great intent in the Powerplay. He led the charge and dominated the RCB bowlers all around the park to give us a strong start. He carried on from there and went on to score a sensational 100 off 58 deliveries.
During his innings, Sai Sudharsan also achieved a significant milestone of completing 2000 runs in the TATA IPL and becoming the fastest to reach the mark. Our skipper, Shubman Gill played a crucial role at the other end, scoring 32 off 24 to build a solid opening partnership of 128.
Following the departure of our openers, Jos Buttler (25 off 16), Washington Sundar (19 off 12) and Jason Holder (23 off 10) chipped in with valuable contributions. In his TATA IPL 2026 debut, the West Indian all-rounder lit up the Chinnaswamy with his six-hitting prowess, including a sensational 84m maximum. These impactful cameos helped our Titans post a strong total of 205 at the end of 20 overs.
During the innings break, we caught a glimpse of Virat Kohli and our run machine, Shubman Gill, sharing a light moment, offering fans a refreshing break from the game’s intensity.
While defending the total, our bowlers had an off day but showed great heart, chipping in with wickets and keeping us in the contest till the death overs.
Our boys will take plenty of positives from this outing and will aim to bounce back against CSK.
