After finishing as league table-toppers in 2022 and 2023, we will look to secure another top-two finish when we host Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in our final IPL 2025 league game at our fortress, the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Sunday.
The highly-anticipated GT vs CSK IPL 2025 match will start at 3:30 PM IST.
A victory over CSK will not only power us to a top-two finish, it will also help us seal a Qualifier 1 berth, which guarantees two chances of reaching the IPL 2025 final.
Previously, our Titans have stormed into the IPL finals whenever we have clinched a top-two spot. We claimed our maiden IPL title in 2022, and later emerged runners-up in 2023.
Under the leadership of captain Shubman Gill, we have been one of the most consistent teams in IPL 2025 and are currently placed on top of the standings with 18 points from 13 games.
The last time we met the Super Kings at the Narendra Modi Stadium, our Titans secured a 35-run victory in May 2024.
Put in to bat, captain Gill led from the front with a magnificent century (104), while Sai Sudharsan notched up his maiden IPL hundred (103) to propel us to a mammoth 231/3 in our 20 overs.
Later, our Titans produced an impressive all-round bowling performance to restrict the Super Kings to 196/8 in their allotted overs to guide us to a comfortable win.
Meanwhile, consistent Sai Su has been the leading run-scorer in IPL 2025. The Orange Cap holder has scored 638 runs in 13 matches at an average of 53.17 and a strike rate of 155.99.
Skipper Gill features second on the list with 636 runs in 13 games at a strike rate of 156.65, while also maintaining an impressive average of 57.82.
In the bowling department, Prasidh Krishna is the current Purple Cap holder with 21 wickets in 13 matches.

Chennai Super Kings will head into their final league game after suffering a six-wicket defeat against Rajasthan Royals at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi on Tuesday.
With six points from 13 matches, the MS Dhoni-led CSK are placed at the bottom of the IPL 2025 standings with three wins and 10 losses.
We have a superior head-to-head record against Chennai Super Kings in the IPL, having won four of the seven matches. The Super Kings have registered three wins.
