Our Titans head into our next clash with confidence after sealing back-to-back wins, most recently delivering a clinical all-round performance against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG). It was a complete effort from our boys, with every department stepping up when it mattered most.

Now, our focus shifts to making it three on the trot as we welcome Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) to our Gujaratno Gadh, the iconic Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on April 17 at 7:30 PM IST.

In our previous outing, our skipper Shubman Gill called it right at the toss and opted to bowl first. Leading from the front, Prasidh Krishna was sensational with the ball, returning figures of 4/28, while Ashok Sharma, Kagiso Rabada, and Mohammed Siraj chipped in to restrict LSG to 164.

Chasing the target, our openers Sai Sudharsan and Gill came out firing, giving us a strong start in the Powerplay. The skipper also etched his name into the history books, bringing up 4,000 runs in the TATA IPL. After Sai Su’s departure, Jos Buttler (60) joined Gill (56) and the duo took control of the chase with authority.

In the process, Buttler completed an iconic milestone of 14,000 T20 runs, before handy contributions from Washi and Rahul Tewatia helped us seal the chase comfortably.

As we gear up for Friday, we’re determined to keep the momentum going against a struggling KKR side at our home.

Our top order, comprising Gill, Sudharsan and Buttler has been in fine touch, while with the ball, Skiddy and Rashid Khan have led the charge brilliantly.

Clashes against Kolkata Knight Riders have always been edge-of-the-seat affairs and this one promises to be no different. Over the years, Gill and Rashid have consistently delivered strong performances against KKR, making them key players to watch once again.

Gill has already amassed 185 runs in four matches against KKR, while Rashid has picked up seven wickets in as many games. Notably, during the 2025 season, our captain registered his highest score in Titans’ colours against them, a sublime 90 off 55 that powered us to a convincing 39-run victory.

Rashid, on the other hand, has taken seven wickets against the Knight Riders in GT colours and registered his only IPL hat-trick against them during the 2023 season.

Ahead of this exciting clash, “Jos The Boss” gave fans a sneak peek into life inside our camp and shared his eagerness to explore the city. We’re now counting on our Titans family to come through with some top-notch recommendations to make Buttler feel right at home.

With the boys training at home, things took a hilarious turn as our Batting Coach Matthew Hayden swapped the nets for a joyride, chauffeuring Washington into training in a golf cart like it was a VIP entry. Safe to say, Washi’s warm-up came with horsepower this time.
