For the third consecutive year, we will wear special lavender jerseys in our upcoming home game on Thursday to continue the fight against cancer.
After reaching the IPL playoffs for the third time in four seasons, we will aim to strengthen our hold at the top of the Indian Premier League 2025 points table when we host Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) at our fortress, the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Thursday.
With 18 points from 12 games, we are the table-toppers, and are one point ahead of second-placed Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and third-placed Punjab Kings (PBKS), on 17 points each.
Our match against the Super Giants will be special for more than one reason. While a home victory over LSG will solidify our chances for a top-two finish, the game will see our Titans don special lavender jerseys for the third year in a row to continue the fight against cancer.
As part of the initiative, the franchise plans to distribute 30,000 lavender flags and 10,000 lavender jerseys to fans on Thursday to promote early detection and access to quality care for cancer patients. It further aims to promote awareness about cancer prevention, also encourage lifestyle changes and regular screenings for early diagnosis.
Meanwhile, we have arrived in Ahmedabad brimming with confidence after registering a commanding 10-wicket win over Delhi Capitals at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on Sunday.
Opting to field first, our bowlers produced an excellent performance to help us restrict the Capitals to 199/3 in their 20 overs.
Arshad Khan, Prasidh Krishna and Sai Kishore picked up a wicket each for us.
Later, Sai Sudharsan slammed a magnificent century (112 not out) and captain Shubman Gill scored an unbeaten 93 to power the Titans to a dominant win with an over to spare.
Having chased down 200 with losing a wicket, we became only the second team to achieve the feat in T20 cricket history.
With 617 runs in 12 games, Sai Su is the current Orange Cap holder in IPL 2025. Skipper Gill is placed second on the list with 601 runs in 12 matches.
In the bowling department, Prasidh ‘Skiddy’ Krishna is leading the Purple Cap race with 21 wickets in 12 games.
