It will be another proud moment for the #TitansFAM as our captain Shubman Gill will begin his reign as India’s ODI skipper in the high-anticipated three-match series against Australia, starting in Perth on Sunday, October 19.

Gill, who has replaced Rohit Sharma as India’s new ODI captain, will head into the series brimming with confidence after guiding his Test team to a dominant 2-0 series victory over the West Indies at home.

Meanwhile, Rohit and Virat Kohli have been named in India’s 15-man squad for the upcoming three-match ODI series in Australia. The two stalwarts of Indian cricket haven’t played for India since winning the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 in Dubai in March this year.

India’s newly appointed ODI vice-captain Shreyas Iyer will be deputy to Gill in the forthcoming ODI series against the 50-over world champions.

Titans’ trio of Washington Sundar, Mohammad Siraj and Prasidh Krishna are also part of India’s ODI squad Down Under.

Yashasvi Jaiswal, wicketkeeper-batters KL Rahul, Dhruv Jurel, all-rounders Nitish Kumar Reddy and Axar Patel are the other options in the batting department.

In the absence of star fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah, Titans duo of Siraj and Prasidh are expected to spearhead India’s pace line-up. Arshdeep Singh and Harshit Rana are the other pace bowling options. Kuldeep Yadav is the only wrist-spinner in the squad.

On the other hand, the Australian ODI squad will be led by captain Mitchell Marsh.

Ahead of the ODI series, the hosts have suffered a huge blow as all-rounder Cameron Green has been ruled out of the ODI series after he experienced low grade side soreness at training. World Cup winner Marnus Labuschagne has been named Green’s replacement.

As per the three-match ODI schedule, the first game will be played in Perth on October 19, before two teams travel to Adelaide for the second ODI scheduled to be held on October 23. The third and final ODI will be played at the iconic Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) on October 25.
