Gujarat Titans return home to Ahmedabad after a trip to Mumbai and next up, we lock horns against the Sunrisers Hyderabad.

We all remain in awe of that spectacular all-round performance from Rashid Khan that will be talked about for many years. It wasn’t our day at Wankhede, but as the Titans have done continuously this season, we did not go down without a fight. As it stands, we have procured 16 points in 12 matches so far and remain just one step away from confirming our playoff spot.

Like our previous season, this year’s highlight for the Titans has also been how the responsibility has been shared between players. We have had different players stepping up each time, thus keeping it unpredictable for the opponents. Hardik Pandya and company will now look to finish the last two league matches on a high and finish in the top two; in that pursuit, we are carrying a positive momentum heading into matchday.

Peak into the opponent’s camp

It has been a mixed-bag season for Sunrisers Hyderabad with quite a few highs and lows. They have won four of their 11 matches so far and must win all their remaining matches to be in contention for playoffs. Not many can forget that incredible finish from Rahul Tewatia and Rashid Khan when we last faced SRH in TATA IPL 2022. The game seemed to be down and out, but Rahul and Rashid took us over the line with some stellar power.

Titan to watch out for

Over the last one year, Vijay Shankar missed out on a lot of cricket due to an injury, but he has produced some explosive knocks in TATA IPL 2023 to stamp his authority. He has registered 234 runs so far at a strike rate of 163.64 and got a good start in our last match as well against Mumbai Indians. Shankar’s ability to get going from the outset has been a massive boost for our line-up and he will be one of the players to watch out for on Monday.

Key numbers
