Despite the disappointing result, our Titans will now have a second chance to book a spot in the TATA IPL final in the Qualifier 2 in Mullanpur on Friday, May 29.
Titans FAM, it was not the result we wanted in Qualifier 1. It’s time to reset, regroup, and return stronger as the fight for the TATA IPL 2026 title continues in the Qualifier 2 on Friday, May 29.
While our Titans fought hard till the very end in Qualifier 1, it wasn’t enough as we went down against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) by 92 runs in Dharamshala on Tuesday, May 26.
Despite best efforts from our bowlers, captain Rajat Patidar’s unbeaten 93, along with contributions from Virat Kohli (43) and Krunal Pandya (43) propelled RCB to 254/5 in their 20 overs.
Kagiso Rabada and Jason Holder were our standout bowlers with two wickets apiece, while Prasidh Krishna chipped in with one scalp.
With 26 wickets this season, Kagiso has now achieved the incredible feat of 25-plus wickets on three occasions in the TATA IPL after 2019 and 2020.
In reply, our batters experienced an off day as we lost wickets at regular intervals and were bowled out for 162 in 19.3 overs.
Showcasing our immense fighting spirit, our experienced southpaw, Rahul Tewatia was our standout batter as he delivered a valiant 68-run knock, laced with eight fours and four sixes.
Despite a challenging result, our Titans will now have a second chance as we await the winner of the Eliminator, played between Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) on Wednesday, May 27.
With one more shot at the final, it’s time to bounce back on Friday. Aava De, Titans!
