The Titans have assembled! We have strengthened our formidable squad with five new additions in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 auction at the Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi on Tuesday, December 16.

Having entered the IPL 2026 mini-auction with a settled core of 20 players, the IPL 2022 champions roped in West Indies’ accomplished all-rounder Jason Holder, England’s swashbuckling wicketkeeper-batter Tom Banton, talented Indian fast bowler Ashok Sharma, England left-arm pacer Luke Wood and uncapped Indian speedster Prithvi Raj  to further bolster our squad for the upcoming season.

Young right-arm pacer Ashok Sharma was our first buy in the IPL 2026 mini-auction after we signed him for INR 90 lakh. The 23-year-old speedster from Rajasthan has hogged the spotlight with his brilliant bowling performances in the domestic 2025-26 season.

Known for consistently producing deliveries above 140 km/h, Ashok has been the leading wicket-taker in the ongoing Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. He has picked up 22 wickets in 10 matches at an average of 15.63, with best figures of 4/16.

Having previously served as a net bowler for Rajasthan Royals (RR), Ashok bagged his first IPL deal with Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in 2022. He later returned to RR after they signed him at the mega auction in 2025.

We further bolstered our squad by acquiring the services of West Indies bowling all-rounder Jason Holder for a whopping INR 7 crore.

Since making his international debut in 2013, Holder has emerged one of the most successful bowlers from the Caribbean. The former West Indies cricket team captain has already bagged 418 international wickets in 293 matches across three formats of the game.

Having previously played for the likes of Chennai Super Kings, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Kolkata Knight Riders, Lucknow Super Giants and Rajasthan Royals, Holder has also claimed 35 IPL wickets in 26 matches at an average of 22.46 and an economy of 8.20.

With 344 wickets and 3,133 runs in his illustrious T20 career, Holder will bring wealth of experience to the Titans’ set-up.

Later in the day at the IPL 2026 mini-auction, we reinforced our batting department with the inclusion of England’s flamboyant wicketkeeper-batter Tom Banton for INR 2 crore.

Having previously donned the jersey of KKR in the IPL in 2022, Banton has been a successful T20 batter across the globe with 4,890 runs, including four centuries and 25 fifties to his name.

England left-arm pacer Luke Wood (INR 75 lakh) and uncapped Indian left-arm fast bowler Prithvi Raj (INR 30 lakh) were our other buys in the IPL 2026 mini-auction.

Under the tutelage of Director of Cricket Vikram Solanki and head coach Ashish Nehra, the Titans earlier retained a solid core led by captain Shubman Gill ahead of the IPL 2026 auction.

Apart from captain Gill, Sai Sudharsan, Mohammed Siraj, Washington Sundar, Prasidh Krishna, Sai Kishore, Shahrukh Khan, Rahul Tewatia, Ishant Sharma, Jayant Yadav, Manav Suthar, Kumar Kushagra, Anuj Rawat, Gurnoor Brar, Arshad Khan and Nishant Sindhu will feature for the Titans once again in IPL 2026.

Among our star-studded overseas contingent, England’s Jos Buttler, Afghanistan spin maestro Rashid Khan, South Africa’s premier fast bowler Kagiso Rabada and New Zealand all-rounder Glenn Phillips were also retained for the upcoming edition of the IPL.

Having assembled a strong squad with a good mix of experienced cricketers and young talents, the Titans will be aiming to clinch their second IPL title. Following the conclusion of the auction, the countdown to IPL 2026 begins. Aava De, Titans!
