Taking on the Lucknow Super Giants in their own den at the Ekana Cricket Stadium, we delivered a complete performance to seal a commanding seven-wicket win in Match 19 of the TATA Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026.

Here’s how the game panned out at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow:

Skiddy stole the show

After our skipper Shubman Gill opted to bowl, we struck early through Mohammed Siraj and Kagiso Rabada to keep things tight. But the real damage came from Skiddy who ripped through the middle order with a sensational 4/28 to claim the Purple Cap in style.

He removed Aiden Markram and Ayush Badoni in quick succession before adding the big scalps of Nicholas Pooran and Mukul Choudhary. With Ashok Sharma chipping in with two at the death, we locked LSG at 164/8 at the end of their 20 overs.

Gill hit a historic groove

Chasing 165, our openers came out blazing. Sai Sudharsan set the tone early, before Gill took over with a captain’s knock.

The highlight? A blistering over against Mohammed Shami that powered him to a massive milestone of 4000 IPL runs, making him the youngest ever to get there. He didn’t stop there, bringing up a classy fifty and keeping us firmly in control.

Buttler brought the fireworks

At the other end, Jos Buttler turned up the heat. From elegant boundaries to picking up the pace against Avesh Khan, he shifted gears effortlessly.

In the process, he crossed 14,000 T20 runs and notched up a quickfire half-century, putting the chase beyond doubt. Buttler’s fifty also marked his 100th T20 half-century, placing him alongside elites like Virat Kohli and David Warner.

Cool finish, clinical win

Even after losing both set batters, we were cruising. With just 29 needed off 24, Washington Sundar and Rahul Tewatia kept things calm and composed, finishing the job with ease and sealing a dominant seven-wicket win.

Speaking in the post-match press conference, our Player Of The Match Prasidh Krishna shared his thoughts.

“I’m really happy we got the win, as it was crucial to build that momentum. After the last game, it was important for us to come out and play our brand of cricket and I’m glad we did exactly that.”

With back-to-back wins, the momentum is on our side and we’re just getting started. Aava De!

What's next for the Titans?
