The Titans are back home in Ahmedabad after a short visit to Chennai. With the Titans FAM roaring Aava De from the stands once again, we prepare to face the Sunrisers Hyderabad in our third fixture on Sunday, March 31.

The Sunrisers showed the firepower they have in their batting in their previous encounter where they scored the highest total in IPL history. However, we too proved what a force we can be at home in our opening fixture. Overall the records favour us as we hold nearly a 70% win record over the visitors. But the miyas from Hyderabad won’t be making it easy for our mota bhais.

A thrilling six-run victory over the Mumbai Indians kept our 100% record intact of winning the first match of the season. Sai Sudharsan received the Player of the Match award for his gritty 45-run knock.

With plenty of learnings and positive takeaways from the match against Chennai Super Kings, we are back home - ready for the next challenge.

Team talk

Captain Gill, who smashed a scintillating century in our last meeting against the team from Hyderabad, will look to get the team off to a flyer. We know that once our skipper gets going at his free-flowing best, it’s an uphill task to put a stop to his immaculate strokeplay.

In the bowling department, Mohit Sharma, who took four wickets versus the Sunrisers Hyderabad when we met last time out, will be stationed to get crucial breakthroughs during the middle overs.

With the opposition batters fresh from their carnage, Mohit bhai will look to replicate his heroics from 2023 to keep the scoring rate in check.

Wriddhiman Saha has looked in good touch in the two matches so far, providing aggressive starts to set the tone for the innings. However, Wriddhi bhai’s glove work behind the stumps has been even more notable. Lightning quick and never letting an opportunity slip, his presence itself will add an element of doubt in batsmen’s minds before stepping down the track.

Sai Sudharsan’s ability to anchor the innings in the middle overs has been spot on. He has shown in the previous season that he can also accelerate when he wants and if he gets going then no target will be too big for us.

#GTvSRH weather forecast - Raining fours and sixes!

Two formidable batting line-ups are expected to send the ball into the stands time and again in front of a capacity crowd cheering at the top of their voice! If you’re coming for the match we would advise you to brush up on your catching skills.

Expect an exciting display of cricket at the Home of the Gujarat Titans on Super Sunday with a 3:30 PM start. Both sides will be taking the field on a warm afternoon, only for the temperature to soar further with each passing ball. It promises to be a terrific contest between bat and ball.
