India's day at the Olympics started on a high note as Manu Bhaker and Sarabjot Singh won the country's second medal of the tournament. Manu became the first Indian woman to win two medals in a single Olympics and the first Indian overall to do so since independence. Sarabjot is now the sixth Indian shooter to win a medal. They defeated South Korea 16-10 to achieve this.

Meanwhile, Prithviraj Tondaiman finished 21st in the trap qualification. The 37-year-old scored 22, 25, 21, 25, and 25 in the five rounds, ending with a total score of 118.

In rowing, Balraj Panwar, the only Indian in the event, finished fifth in the quarter-final of the Men's single sculls. The 25-year-old completed the race in 7:05.10, missing out on a chance for a medal. Panwar will compete again on Wednesday in the semi-final C/D.

Satwiksairaj Reddy and Chirag Shetty had a great day in badminton, defeating the Indonesian pair Fajar Alfian and Muhammad Rian Ardianto in straight sets. They are now at the top of Group C. In women's doubles, Tanisha Crasto and Ashwini Ponappa lost 21-15, 21-10 to Australia's Setyana Mapasa and Angela Yu. They remain winless and finish at the bottom of their group.

Bhajan Kumar advanced to the Round of 16 in archery by defeating Poland's Wioleta Myszor 6-0 in the women's individual round of 32 match. She is the first Indian archer to reach the Round of 16 in the ongoing Summer Games. Earlier, she defeated Indonesia’s Syifa Nurafifah Kamal in the Round of 64.

The men's hockey team captain, Harmanpreet Singh, delivered another outstanding performance, scoring twice to help India beat Ireland 2-0 in a Pool B match. India are now at the top of the group, although they have played one game more than their opponents.

Indian archer Dhiraj Bommadevara had a night to remember, dominating Czech Republic’s Adam Li 7-1 in the men’s individual round of 64 match. Bommadevara hit 10s on seven of his 12 shots, showcasing his precision and skill. He now advances to face Canada’s Eric Peters in the Round of 32.

The day ended on a somber note with boxing, as Preeti Pawar faced heartbreak in the Women's 54 kg round of 16 bout. She lost to Colombia’s Yeni Arias in a close 3-2 decision. Earlier, the 20-year-old had delivered an impressive performance, defeating Vietnam’s Vo Thi Kim Anh 5-0 in her opening bout.
