It’s the moment that we have been waiting for. We will start our TATA IPL 2024 campaign with a blockbuster clash against five-time champions Mumbai Indians at our home, the Narendra Modi Stadium, on 24th March.

A match that has produced excitement of the highest order, a GT vs MI clash has often given the spectators enough to cheer for. With batters going hammer and tongs, the 2023 season saw our side come up on top on two of the three occasions while every match had the team batting first score in excess of 200 runs. With the Titans’ squad loaded with some quality hitters and a mean bowling attack to back them, our season opener promises to be a cracker.

It’s a fixture that our skipper Shubhman Gill enjoys as well. Last year, the 24-year-old smacked a classy 129 to take us into a second straight final. This helped him record the highest score by a batter in the TATA IPL playoffs, improving on Virender Sehwag's 122 for Kings XI Punjab (now Punjab Kings) against Chennai Super Kings in 2014.

The match against Mumbai Indians will be followed by our first away game of the season. The Ttians will travel down south to take on MS Dhoni’s Chennai Super Kings on March 26. After our last encounter against CSK during last year’s IPL final, we will be keen to walk away with a quality show in one of the most challenging grounds in India. This will be followed by two home games against Sunrisers Hyderabad and Punjab Kings on 31st March and 4th April, respectively. We will wrap the first phase of TATA IPL 2024 with an away match against Lucknow Super Giants on 7th April.

Unlike the past seasons, the fixtures for the 2024 season of the TATA IPL will be announced in parts owing to General Elections in the country. Stay tuned for the next part.
